Cars in Germany's City Discovered Marked with Nazi Symbols in Blood, Police State

Officers reported they were notified by a man who found a vehicle in Hanau marked with reddish liquid

Around fifty vehicles have been smeared with what seems to be human bodily fluid in the Germany's municipality of Hanau in proximity to Frankfurt, as reported by authorities.

Cars, walls and mailboxes were defaced, sometimes with prohibited symbols, they reported in a official communication.

Police report they were notified during the night on Wednesday, when a individual observed that a car in the Lamboy neighborhood of Hanau had been covered with a red-colored liquid.

The liquid had been drawn in the form of a banned symbol, they stated.

Officers then located many other vandalized cars and building exteriors in the nearby vicinity.

These symbols are illegal in Germany under laws prohibiting the visible presentation of symbols from the Nazi era.

Police report preliminary tests suggest the liquid was most likely human blood.

"Currently there is no indication as to where it came from; officials are presently not cognizant of any injuries in connection with the event," they commented.

City officials stated they were working "to resolve the incident" and have appealed to the community for tips.

A senior representative commented the vandalism rendered him speechless and required to be resolved promptly.

"This incident hits the very heart of Hanau and reawakens the wounds of the far-right terrorist attack half a decade ago," he posted on social media, recalling the murder of nine people by a gunman targeting people of foreign heritage in February 2020.
