Nineteen of the Russian's twenty-one victories have been earned on hard surfaces
A resurgent the Russian player claimed his first trophy for over two years with a win over opponent Moutet in the competition final.
Medvedev, a ex- number one, has had a difficult season, winning just a single victory at the Grand Slams and suffering a setback at the American major.
Medvedev's varied form on the ATP Tour - and struggles with his serve in particular - resulted in him exiting of the elite rankings and ultimately parting ways with long-time mentor Cervara.
Now working with Johansson and his other coach, Medvedev has gradually advanced in the recent weeks - culminating in a closely contested three-set victory over opponent Corentin Moutet.
This represents the player's maiden championship following the 2023 Rome Masters and initial on a hard court after March of the previous year.
The win also signifies he has secured 21 championships at twenty-one different competitions.
"It's the first time I have attended a competition with my children at once, so to get a championship is especially meaningful," said tennis professional Daniil Medvedev.
"This championship is in honour of my younger daughter my daughter, because the maiden victory I got when my first daughter her name was born was for her."
The athlete, the past champion, had failed in his last six championship matches, featuring in the German tournament earlier this year.
His counter-punching play style and frequent reactions on the tennis court had caused commentators to question if his skill to perform at the top level was concluded.
Yet the player has altered his approach in the past month, making an effort to advance forward and perform assertively, reinforced by an enhanced service.
Medvedev came back from a deficit in the first set against the difficult opponent, securing 4 of the final five games to go ahead.
The pair swapped service breaks in the middle set before Moutet, striving for his initial professional title, seized the initiative to force a third set.
He saved four initial opportunities in a tight final set before the Russian broke to fifteen to close out the victory.
Suitably, he secured victory with a rally at the net area, with the Frenchman failing to handle a return after two hours and 38 minutes.
